By the age of 15, students in disadvantaged communities can be almost three years behind their more privileged peers.
Strong networks supporting collaboration and innovation give school leaders the opportunity to address common challenges, drive evidence-informed action and affect change in their communities and across the system.
The SVA Bright Spots Schools Connection (The Connection) is a collaborative network designed to support leadership development to accelerate student outcomes across communities experiencing disadvantage.
School leadership teams are supported and evaluated while being exposed to best practice and innovative thinking from across systems locally, nationally and all over the world.
From 2016 to 2019, The Connection reached more than 2,800 educators and approximately 30,000 students across three states. Supported and evaluated by The Connection, schools undertook unique projects and achieved remarkable results during their engagement.
